The College of Pharmacy at Jouf University organized a training course to mark World First Aid Day, as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of health awareness and disseminate essential medical knowledge that contributes to saving lives and reducing complications in emergency situations.

The course covered the fundamentals of first aid and practical skills, including how to deal with cases of bleeding, burns, choking, fainting, and fractures. It also featured training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of the first aid kit. In addition, interactive and hands-on activities were incorporated, which enhanced participants’ engagement and enabled them to apply the skills in a realistic and practical manner.

Participants received certified volunteer hours through the National Volunteer Work Platform, reaffirming the university’s commitment to integrating educational activities with social responsibility and encouraging students to contribute actively to community service.

This course reflects the university’s dedication to achieving its strategic objectives of building a holistic educational and community environment that raises public health awareness and supports quality of life. It also aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to build a vibrant and healthy society that places human well-being at the forefront.
