As part of its social responsibility and in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the College of Applied Medical Sciences organized a seminar titled "Innovative Technologies in the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities" at the college’s theater, moderated by Dr. Hadeel Al-Sarhani, Assistant Professor in the department.
The seminar featured Dr. Ammar bin Mohammed Al-Abbad, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, who delivered a lecture titled "Modern Technology in Therapeutic Rehabilitation." He highlighted the latest advancements in upper and lower limb prosthetics, wheelchairs, and rehabilitation therapies. Additionally, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulaziz Al-Sharif, a faculty member in the department, presented a lecture on "Advancements in Motor Therapy Technologies," discussing the use of virtual reality in physical therapy, brain stimulation techniques, robot-assisted rehabilitation, and smart chip technology for spinal cord stimulation.
The event also included an exhibition showcasing modern devices for the assessment and rehabilitation of physical therapy patients in the lobby of the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University, where participants explored the latest technological advancements in the field.
