College of Applied Medical Sciences Organizes a Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Campaign at Jouf University Corner
In conjunction with International Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October), and under the theme:
"Enhancing Awareness, Creating Impact... Together Against Breast Cancer: Hand in Hand Towards Prevention and Early Detection,"
the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University organized an extensive awareness and educational event at the university booth.
Event Highlights Early Detection and Prevention of Breast Cancer
The event aimed to establish health awareness and foster preventive behaviors among community members, focusing on spreading knowledge about risk factors, prevention methods, and early detection avenues—most notably mammogram screenings and regular self-examinations—in addition to correcting common misconceptions associated with the disease.
Wide Turnout for College Health Awareness and Field Screenings
The event witnessed widespread engagement and attendance from visitors, featuring dedicated booths where the college's female students and faculty provided health consultations and distributed targeted educational brochures. It also included on-site field screenings comprising vital signs measurements and blood type testing, reaffirming the university's leading role in social responsibility and improving the quality of healthy living.
