Under the supervision and attendance of Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Al-Anzi, Dean of the College, and within the framework of enhancing health awareness and building an educated and responsible student community, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Qurayyat, for both male and female students, organized the opening event of the Health Friends Club on the stage of the female students’ complex in Al-Qurayyat on Sunday, January 19, 2025 AD, at one o’clock in the afternoon, amidst an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and ambition.
The event included several segments, starting with the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by the head of the organizing committee, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the club and its role in serving the college community. Then, a speech by the Dean of the College, who emphasized the college's continuous support for student initiatives and praised the efforts made to launch the club, stressing the importance of the role of health in the life of the individual and society. This was followed by a speech by the club president, who expressed his vision for the club and his great ambition to achieve a positive and sustainable impact in the college community. After that, the club's vice president spoke about the importance of teamwork and the spirit of cooperation among members to achieve common goals, noting that this club will be a platform for everyone to be creative and distinguished. Then, the development officer spoke about the club's various committees and their roles, explaining the importance of each committee in achieving the club's vision and goals. After that, the head of the training and development committee launched the club's new logo amid great enthusiasm from the attendees, stressing that this logo reflects the club's vision and distinctive identity.
This was followed by a speech by the head of the training department, who announced the launch of the "Your Health is Your Decision" initiative, which aims to enhance health awareness among college staff and the community. The event concluded with thanks to all attendees and supporters of the club, stressing that this event is only the beginning of a journey full of achievements. A questionnaire was also presented to collect the opinions and comments of the attendees.
