College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University Organizes the Orientation and Guidance Program for Students for the Academic Year 1448 AH
Under the theme “A Distinctive Start… for a Promising Future,” the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University organized the Student Orientation and Guidance Program for the Academic Year 1448 AH, held from August 25 to 27, 2026. The program aimed to prepare students for a successful academic start, introduce them to the College, its academic programs, regulations, facilities, and services, and strengthen direct communication between students, academic leaders, and faculty members.
The program reflects the College’s commitment to providing students with a supportive educational environment from the beginning of their university journey. It also sought to familiarize students with the various academic, advisory, and support services available to them, helping them integrate smoothly into university life and make optimal use of the resources and opportunities provided by the College and the University.
The three-day program featured a comprehensive series of orientation and guidance sessions covering key aspects of university life, beginning with an introduction to the College and its facilities, followed by opportunities to engage with academic leaders and learn about academic programs, and concluding with an overview of academic regulations, advising, and student services.
Day One: Discover Your College and University
The program commenced on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, under the theme “Discover Your College and University.” The first day included welcoming students to the College and University and introducing them to the College’s departments, facilities, and student services.
The program also included an orientation tour of the College and University facilities, visits to laboratories, and introductions to the library, classrooms, and student services. These activities provided students with a clear understanding of the educational environment and the resources available to them from the beginning of the academic year.
Day Two: Meet the Academic Leadership
The second day, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, focused on strengthening direct communication between students and the College’s academic leadership. It included a meeting with the Dean of the College, meetings with the Vice Deans and Heads of Departments, as well as an introduction to the College’s academic programs.
The day also highlighted the role of academic advisors and the importance of maintaining effective communication with faculty members. An open dialogue session provided students with an opportunity to raise questions and receive guidance, thereby strengthening academic communication and ensuring that students have access to the support and advice they need throughout their university journey.
Day Three: A Successful Academic Start
The program concluded on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with the theme “A Successful Academic Start,” focusing on providing students with essential information to help them organize their academic journey and understand the relevant academic requirements and regulations.
The sessions covered academic matters, the study and registration system, course withdrawal and addition, attendance and absence, and examinations, in addition to regulations and policies, student rights and responsibilities, student services, electronic platforms, academic advising, activities, and volunteering.

These topics provided students with a comprehensive understanding of their rights and responsibilities, the mechanisms for accessing academic and electronic services, and the opportunities available through academic advising, student activities, and volunteering, thereby enhancing their readiness to begin the academic year with confidence and awareness.
