The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University held a workshop entitled “Saudi Global Ranking (SGR) Indicators for Higher Education Institutions,” under the theme “Towards Excellence in Saudi Higher Education.” Held in the meeting room at the College Deanship, the workshop targeted College Council members and coordinators of the College’s units and committees as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor performance indicators within the SGR framework and advance progress towards its targets.
The workshop aimed to follow up on the College’s progress against SGR-related indicators, review the extent to which targets had been achieved, and identify improvement priorities across the relevant units and committees. It also sought to strengthen coordination throughout the College and support consistent monitoring and documentation of supporting evidence, enabling academic and institutional development efforts to be guided by performance results.
 

For his part, the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdullah bin Falleh Alsarhani, stated: “Monitoring the College’s indicators within the Saudi Global Ranking framework builds on our ongoing efforts to enhance performance. It enables us to assess progress towards our targets and identify opportunities for improvement based on clear, measurable data.”
He added: “The College is committed to strengthening coordination among its Council, units, and committees in monitoring indicators, documenting achievements, and linking performance results to improvement plans. This approach supports sustained development, enhances the quality of educational and research outcomes, and contributes to Jouf University’s competitiveness.”

The workshop builds on the College’s existing work on SGR indicators and underscores the importance of periodic review and measuring progress towards established targets. Through these efforts, the College continues to strengthen performance-informed institutional practices and coordination among its units and committees in support of quality and excellence at Jouf University.
