Scientific Forum and Poster Exhibition for Graduation Research Projects – Second Semester 1447 AH
Under the supervision of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Faleh Alsrhani, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and as part of the College’s commitment to promoting a culture of scientific research and innovation while developing students’ research and analytical skills, the College organized over two days, on May 5–6, 2026, the Scientific Forum and Poster Exhibition for Graduation Research Projects for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 1447 AH, under the slogan:
“Promising Projects… Ideas Transforming Knowledge into Impact and Achievement”
Wide student participation in the scientific forum
The forum witnessed broad participation from male and female students representing the College’s various academic departments. Graduation projects and scientific research studies were presented and discussed, reflecting the distinguished academic and professional competencies of the students, while also highlighting the role of scientific research in supporting knowledge and serving the healthcare community.
Research evaluation
The forum activities included scientific sessions dedicated to discussing students’ research projects. Evaluation committees composed of faculty members assessed the projects according to precise scientific and academic criteria, including the quality of scientific content, originality of the idea, research methodology, analysis of results, and the effectiveness of project presentation and discussion.
Scientific Poster Exhibition
The event also featured a scientific poster exhibition, through which students presented their research projects and study findings in an interactive academic environment that encouraged the exchange of scientific ideas and expertise among students, faculty members, and visitors, while enhancing participants’ presentation and scientific communication skills.
The research that won first place
At the conclusion of the forum, the winning research projects were announced and their authors were honored in recognition of their scientific and research excellence. The results were as follows:
First Place:
The first-place award was granted to the research project presented by:
• Maha Salah Al-Saadoun
• Sarah Abdullah Al-Ruwaili
• Shaden Zaidan Al-Ruwaili
from the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, entitled:
“Enumeration of Viable Microorganisms in Commercial Probiotic Supplements”
Under the supervision of Dr. Yasmin Abdulaziz Al-Thari.

The second-place award was granted to the research project presented by:
• Maria Eid Al-Enezi
• Layan Atta Al-Ruwaili
from the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, entitled:
“Physical Activity Level and its Association with Balance, Fear of Falling, and Quality of Life among Community Dwelling Older Women in Aljouf – Saudi Arabia”
Under the supervision of Dr. Samaher Mohammed Al-Owaidha.

The joint third-place award was granted to the research project presented by:

• Lama Mansour Al-Suhaiyan
• Arwa Othman Al-Khamis
from the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, entitled:
“Analysis of Viscosity and Blood Parameters Among Donors at the Regional Lab and Blood Bank (RLBB)”
Under the supervision of Dr. Hassan bin Aqla Al-Murshid.

Another joint third-place award was granted to the research project presented by:
• Anoud Naaman Al-Kuwaikibi
• Aryam Fayez Al-Daghmani
from the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, entitled:
“Immediate Effect of High-Power Pain Threshold Ultrasound on Pressure Pain Threshold, Pain Intensity, and Cervical Range of Motion in Young Females with Mechanical Cervical Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial”
Under the supervision of Dr. Ruqayyah Ali Touson.
At the conclusion of the forum, the Deanship of the College of Applied Medical Sciences reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting scientific and research activities and providing an academic environment that fosters creativity and innovation, contributing to the preparation of scientifically and research-qualified national cadres capable of contributing to the development of the healthcare sector.
