Under the supervision of Her Excellency the Dean of the College, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, represented by the Department of Nursing, held an awareness event entitled "Home Safety for the Elderly" on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

The event began with an introduction to the elderly, the physiological changes that accompany aging, and medical care for the elderly. This was followed by an explanation of how to help the elderly understand and manage their medications and avoid side effects, as well as how to prepare and organize their homes to prevent falls. Common causes of falls among the elderly and the components of a healthy diet for them were also explained.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members, students, and college staff. It concluded with a question-and-answer session.
