Out of a sense of social responsibility and in continuation of efforts to raise awareness and promote a culture of infectious disease prevention, and under the supervision of Her Excellency the Dean of the College, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, represented by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, held an awareness event to mark World Infection Prevention Week in cooperation with the Infection Control Department of the Public Health Authority (Weqaya). The event included an awareness booth highlighting the importance of infection control and the distribution of educational brochures. There was also a booth for receiving inquiries and consultations on the best ways to prevent the spread of infection, which was attended by the Infection Control Department team from the Public Health Authority in Qurayyat (Weqaya). Furthermore, a special awareness session was provided to healthcare practitioners to enhance their understanding of infection prevention within the healthcare system by following disease protection methods and adhering to the guidelines of infection control centers. The event concluded with a Q&A session for attendees.
