In line with Jouf University’s commitment and mission to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in promoting preventive healthcare, community service, and evidence-based health awareness, the College of Dentistry, represented by the Master’s Program in Prosthodontics, organized an awareness campaign entitled “A Healthy Mouth Without Smoking.” The initiative targeted trainees of the Technical College in the Al-Jouf region.

This initiative forms part of the College’s ongoing efforts to activate its community role and contribute to building a health-conscious society, in alignment with the University’s strategic direction to link higher education with community needs and enhance quality of life. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members and postgraduate residents, who delivered a comprehensive awareness program that included printed and visual educational materials, as well as interactive sessions addressing the risks of smoking and its adverse effects on oral, dental, and general health.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Director General of the Technical College, underscoring the importance of institutional partnerships and the support of joint awareness initiatives that contribute to raising health awareness among trainees.

The program further highlighted the role of the prosthodontics specialty in oral and dental rehabilitation, improving function, esthetics, and overall quality of life. This reflects the strategic vision of the College of Dentistry at Jouf University in promoting prevention, innovation, and social responsibility, and in supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 toward building a vibrant society with sustainable health.
