His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Al-Jouf Region, received a delegation from Jouf University, along with a group of male and female students who won international medals and awards at the 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026) in China and the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2026). The reception recognized their outstanding scientific and innovative achievements, reflecting the excellence of Saudi talent and its ability to compete on the global stage.

During the reception, HRH reviewed a report highlighting Jouf University students’ participation and achievements in international invention and innovation exhibitions and competitions in 2026. The report showcased outstanding innovations in medical technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, renewable energy, and smart communications, demonstrating the creative potential of Saudi youth and the progress of the Kingdom’s higher education, scientific research, and innovation ecosystem.

The achievements included five international medals at IEI 2026 in China—two gold, one silver, and two bronze—as well as three gold medals, two silver medals, and special recognition awards at iCAN 2026 in Canada. These accomplishments further strengthen Jouf University's international presence in innovation and highlight the quality and global competitiveness of its students’ projects.

The award-winning innovations covered a wide range of fields, including medical and technological solutions aimed at improving quality of life, AI-powered applications supporting healthcare and early disease detection, smart systems enhancing medication safety, advanced wireless communications technologies, and innovations in solar energy, sustainable cooling, and electric mobility. These projects reflect the University's commitment to connecting student innovation with development challenges and community needs while transforming creative ideas into impactful practical solutions.
