President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Sponsors the University’s 2026 Summer Program to Promote Skills, Innovation, Volunteering, and Community Service
Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Jouf University is launching the Jouf University Summer Program 1447 AH – 2026, as an integrated and qualitative program aimed at developing and enhancing skills, promoting a culture of innovation, and strengthening the culture of volunteering and community service. The program reinforces the University’s developmental and community role and opens broad pathways for investing the summer period in knowledge-based, training, volunteer, and sports programs targeting University staff, students, graduates, and members of the community.
The program, which extends from July until the end of August 2026, targets more than 16,000 beneficiaries from inside and outside the University, through more than 50 qualitative programs and events, over 210 intensive training hours, the participation of more than 300 academic and medical volunteers, the implementation of more than 11,000 accredited volunteer hours, and more than 10 summer sports tournaments.
The program comes within Jouf University’s direction to transform the summer break into a season of knowledge and community impact, through a package of initiatives and activities implemented by several University entities, foremost among them the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Deanship of Development and Quality, and the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. This contributes to achieving integration among education and training, scientific research, innovation, health, volunteering, and social responsibility.
His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, affirmed that the University’s sponsorship of this program comes as an extension of its role in serving the community, enhancing quality of life, and investing its academic and human capabilities in serving Al Jouf Region. He noted that the University does not view summer programs merely as seasonal activities, but rather as platforms of impact that contribute to building skills, developing capabilities, stimulating creativity, and enabling members of the community to benefit from qualitative educational, training, and awareness opportunities.
His Excellency also emphasized that the Jouf University Summer Program 2026 represents a model of integrated university work that connects knowledge with community service and strengthens the University’s presence as a responsible educational and developmental institution. Through this program, the University seeks to make summer a space for learning, innovation, volunteering, and capacity building, in alignment with the University’s strategic objectives and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The program includes various tracks, most notably training and development programs covering the fields of technology and artificial intelligence, human development and skills, education and scientific research, health and nutrition, and community service. These tracks aim to enhance the efficiency of beneficiaries, strengthen digital and cognitive skills, and provide training content that meets the needs of students, staff, graduates, and members of the community.
The program also includes the University’s field presence through the “University Corner” in public spaces, featuring awareness activities on University services, health and community education, and an introduction to the University’s services, in addition to field medical caravans, including a dental caravan for early screening, and summer sports tournaments that contribute to promoting physical activity and preparing students for university competitions.
In the field of scientific research and innovation, the “We Research and Innovate Together” program, implemented by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, stands out as one of the key initiatives. The program targets high school graduates preparing to join the University, with the aim of developing their culture of scientific research and innovation, introducing them to the academic and research environment at Jouf University, stimulating creative thinking, and clarifying the difference between an idea, an invention, innovation, and a patent. This contributes to attracting outstanding students and preparing a promising generation of researchers and innovators.
The program also supports the University’s objectives in social responsibility, volunteering, and innovation by documenting events, beneficiaries, and volunteer hours, and by strengthening the University’s presence in indicators, rankings, and awards related to community service, sustainability, volunteering, and innovation. This reflects the University’s commitment to transforming summer programs into sustainable institutional impact.
Through its 2026 Summer Program, Jouf University reaffirms its commitment to expanding its impact beyond classrooms through qualitative initiatives that serve the community, develop skills, support innovation, promote the culture of volunteering, and provide beneficiaries with an enriching summer experience that combines learning, application, and community participation.
