The doctoral dissertation offers a postcolonial analysis of the poetry of Badr Shakir Al-Sayyab and Derek Walcott, two prominent poets from the Arab and Caribbean regions, respectively. The study examines how each poet addresses themes of identity, cultural hybridity, and the legacies of colonialism in their works.
