Saudi Volunteering Society at Jouf University Organizes a Workshop on Governance and Sustainability in the Nonprofit Sector
The Saudi Volunteering Society at Jouf University organized a workshop entitled “Governance and Sustainability in the Nonprofit Sector” with the aim of enhancing awareness of governance and sustainability concepts and their role in improving the efficiency and long-term sustainability of nonprofit organizations, thereby supporting institutional development and community impact.
Workshop Topics
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Khalid bin Hamdan Al-Tuwalah, Assistant Professor of Governance and Auditing. The session addressed several topics related to governance frameworks and associated regulations and their importance in institutional development, sustainability and financial transformation and their role in ensuring the continuity of nonprofit organizations, governance and sustainability in light of Saudi Vision 2030, as well as the challenges of governance implementation and mechanisms for measuring its impact.
Exchange of Knowledge and Experiences
The workshop brought together chairpersons and board members of charitable associations, university staff, and individuals interested in the nonprofit sector. The event contributed to enriching discussions, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and promoting best practices that support the sustainability and institutional effectiveness of nonprofit organizations.
