Student Guide Blackboard
Login to the system:
From your internet browser, Type the following address: LMS.JU.EDU.SA
- In the username field, enter the university number.
- In the password field, enter the ID number.
Then click on the login button.
Access to courses:
- After logging in to the Blackboard system, a list of your courses will appear.
Choose one of the courses from the list of courses.
Course Review:
After entering the course, the course interface will appear as shown in the figure, and this list
divided into:
- Course list: contains information about the course, study content, assignments, and other sections.
Home page: displays the latest updates to the course, such as new announcements - new assignments - new tests.
Assignments:
- From the main page after logging in, choose the required course.
- From the course list, choose the assignments icon.
Click on the assignment you want to submit to review and add the assignment solution.
Upload Assignment
The assignment is submitted in two ways:

First way:
Create Submission
The assignment solved by clicking on the “create Submission” icon and writing the solution directly in the text box.

When you finish solving the assignment, click the Submit button or save Draft (to return to the assignment

Second way:
Upload File:
The assignment submitted by writing the solution on an external file and saving it on the computer, then adding it through:
Click on the Browse Local Files icon.
Select the file from your computer and add it.
Click the submit button or save draft (to return to the assignment before submitting it).
Discussion boards:
It is an interactive tool used to enhance communication between students and faculty members through which they can ask questions and exchange ideas. Students can post their comments and respond to others posts.
Inside your course, from the course menu, choose discussion boards.
- Choose the discussion topic from the list of existing discussions.
After accessing the discussion topic, you can participate in the discussion, add a response,
or comment on the replies added by the faculty member or other students in the course.
Virtual Classrooms:
E-Classrooms allow faculty members and students to meet at any time and from any location. This service provides
an environment similar to a traditional classroom, enabling students to interact and participate directly with the faculty member.
- After accessing your course, select Virtual Classrooms from the course menu.
Click on the lecture name, and then click on Join Session.
Blackboard Mobile:
It is a mobile application that enables students to access all the tools available in the Blackboard system, including
viewing course content, completing assignments, participating in discussion boards, and joining virtual classrooms.
Downloading and Using the Blackboard Mobile App:
- Open the app store on your mobile device.
- In the search bar, type Blackboard.
- Select the Blackboard app.
- Download the app to your device.
- Launch the app, and in the university search field, enter Jouf University.
- Enter your username and password.
After logging in, your courses will appear, allowing you to view the
course content.
