President of Jouf University Meets the Student Advisory Council and Affirms: Investing in Students Is the Foundation for Academic Excellence and Achieving the Goals of Saudi Vision 2030
Stemming from Jouf University’s firm belief in the pivotal role of students in developing the educational process and enhancing the quality of academic and research outcomes, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, held an extensive meeting with members of the Student Advisory Council. This meeting comes as part of the University’s commitment to strengthening a partnership-based approach, fostering direct communication with students, listening to their views and proposals, and discussing issues related to their academic journey and student services. The meeting addressed a number of strategic themes with a direct impact on students. His Excellency and the Council members discussed increasing the support allocated to enhancing students’ performance in standardized examinations, with the aim of improving academic readiness, strengthening the competitiveness of the University’s graduates locally and internationally, and raising educational performance indicators in line with best practices and approved standards.
The meeting also examined activating partnerships in the field of professional development through collaboration with government and private entities, as well as specialized training institutions. This would provide high-quality opportunities to develop students’ skills, align educational outcomes with labor market needs, and enable students to acquire future-oriented skills that support employment and entrepreneurship pathways, in harmony with the requirements of digital transformation. In the area of graduate studies, the meeting discussed improving the mechanisms for organizing the delivery modes of graduate courses in a way that ensures flexibility in learning approaches and accommodates the diverse needs of learners. This was coupled with expanding academic programs to support academic and research development, attract outstanding students, and enhance the University’s role as an effective scientific and research hub serving the region and the wider community.

He noted that the outcomes of this meeting will contribute to strengthening integration between academic and service plans and to developing policies and programs that serve students’ interests and enhance the quality of education.
