Jouf University Hosts Gulf University Leaders to Advance Higher Education and Align with Labor Market Needs Jouf University recently welcomed a distinguished group of Gulf university presidents and vice presidents, hosting a high-level meeting aimed at shaping scientific and research-based recommendations to strengthen higher education strategies across the GCC, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, expressed his pride in hosting the elite delegation, emphasizing the meeting’s role in promoting innovation and advancing the quality of higher education in the region.The discussions focused on key thematic areas, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and initiatives to provide educational opportunities for talented students and those with special needs. The meeting also resulted in collaborative programs designed to develop Gulf human capital and enhance the quality of university outputs to meet labor market demands.The event featured a symposium titled “University Differentiation and the Role of Its Outputs in Meeting Labor Market Requirements”, attended by Eng. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Minister of Education, and Dr. Waleed Al-Saleh, who highlighted the universities’ role in identifying future academic specialties, improving education quality, and measuring its developmental impact. His Excellency praised the active participation of Gulf leaders and the exceptional organization of the event, acknowledging the efforts of the GCC Secretariat and university colleagues in producing recommendations that support the continuous development of higher education in the Gulf region.
