Speech of the Supervisor of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Administration

In alignment with Al Jouf University’s steadfast commitment to contributing to the realization of the objectives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and to strengthening effective governance and institutional sustainability, the University is undertaking the development of a comprehensive and integrated Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework. This framework is designed to align with national directions and regulatory requirements, and to support institutional excellence and long-term value creation.
The Governance, Risk, and Compliance Department is honored to advance the implementation of the principles of good governance, founded upon the rule of law, integrity, effective oversight, accountability, disclosure and transparency, the protection of stakeholders’ rights, the enhancement of efficiency and performance effectiveness, sound leadership, and sustainability.
The governance function endeavors to embed these principles across all academic and administrative activities by developing and maintaining policies, regulations, and procedures; clearly and formally defining roles, responsibilities, and authorities; and ensuring the establishment of robust organizational controls and streamlined processes. These efforts are guided by institutional operating models that support the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives and enhance the quality, consistency, and reliability of decision-making.
Furthermore, the compliance function is dedicated to ensuring full adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and official instructions, while promoting the adoption of best institutional practices. Through these efforts, the University seeks to strengthen institutional integrity, enhance levels of trust and credibility, and support the fulfillment of its mission and strategic aspirations.
Within the scope of risk management, systematic efforts are directed toward the identification, analysis, and evaluation of potential risks and challenges, as well as the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation and response strategies. This approach ensures business continuity, enhances institutional resilience and preparedness, supports continuous improvement and development, and enables the proactive transformation of risks into sustainable and achievable future opportunities.
The Governance, Risk, and Compliance Department reaffirms its commitment to collaborative and integrated engagement with all sectors and personnel of the University, with the aim of institutionalizing a culture of effective governance, strengthening risk management and institutional compliance, enhancing performance efficiency, achieving institutional sustainability, supporting the attainment of the University’s strategic objectives, and contributing meaningfully to the achievement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
