Software Engineering ProgramـKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Overview

This page presents the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Bachelor of Software Engineering Program, which serve as one of the main tools for measuring the quality of both academic and administrative performance in the program.
These indicators are used to evaluate the extent to which educational, research, and community objectives are achieved, as well as to analyze strengths and areas for improvement.
They aim to ensure the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning quality and the alignment of program outcomes with the National Qualification Framework (NQF) and Saudi Vision 2030.

Objectives of the Performance Indicators
  1. Enhancing the quality of teaching and learning:
By monitoring student satisfaction with the learning experience and courses, and continuously improving teaching methods and curriculum design.
  2. Improving the efficiency of educational outcomes:
By tracking completion and first-year retention rates, and analyzing reasons for withdrawal or failure to ensure a stimulating and sustainable learning environment.
  3. Strengthening graduates’ readiness for the job market:
Through monitoring graduate employment rates, performance in professional and national exams, and employer satisfaction with graduates’ competencies.
  4. Promoting research excellence among faculty members:
By tracking the number of published papers, citation counts, and the percentage of faculty engaged in research, contributing to enhancing the university’s ranking and fostering innovation.
  5. Achieving human resource efficiency:
By measuring the student-to-faculty ratio to ensure effective academic supervision and personalized learning experiences.
  6. Supporting data-driven decision-making:
Through regular analysis of KPI results to guide academic planning, prepare annual reports, and monitor the implementation of operational plans.
