In a prestigious national achievement added to Jouf University’s growing record of serving the community and contributing to national development, the university was awarded the National Volunteer Work Award 2025 – Entities Award Track / Support for Volunteer Work Category. The caravan activities lasted 10 days, from February 28 to March 9, 2025, covering Sakaka city and the governorates of Dumat Al-Jandal and Sawir.Objectives:

In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability and supporting the Green Saudi initiative, Al-Jouf University launched a large-scale tree-planting campaign targeting the planting of 65,000 trees across the university campus, covering an area of over 62,000 square meters. To date, 25,000 trees from 26 different tree species and 15 types of shrubs have been planted, contributing to reduced emissions and enhancing the quality of campus life.Volunteering played a key role in the success of this initiative, with participation from university students, school students, and community members in planting campaigns and related environmental activities. This fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and national belonging, making the initiative a distinctive model of collaboration between the university and the community in environmental protection and vegetation development.
