President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Receives the Dean, Vice Deans, and Department Heads of the College of Sharia and Law, Praising Its Remarkable Progress Toward Academic and Research Excellence

His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Professor Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, received the Dean of the College of Sharia and Law, along with the vice deans and department heads, to review the college’s annual report for the academic year 1446 AH. The report highlighted the college’s key efforts and achievements across various fields throughout the year, in line with its vision, mission, and strategic goals, and in support of the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030.

The report showcased tangible accomplishments in several domains, particularly in scientific research, where a total of 93 local research papers and 2 international publications were produced, achieving 43 citations, including 4 papers published in Q1-ranked journals and 5 among the top 10% most-cited papers, in addition to a region-focused study addressing issues relevant to Al-Jouf. In the area of quality and academic accreditation, the college’s three programs—Sharia, Law, and Islamic Studies—earned full accreditation, reflecting the high quality of education and compliance with international academic standards.

Within the sphere of community service and strategic partnerships, the college activated several distinguished collaborations with national entities, most notably the “Qabas Judicial Association”, and implemented 43 community initiatives, including seminars, lectures, and awareness programs. It also recorded 520 volunteer hours and 195 volunteering opportunities for faculty members and students, reinforcing its societal role. Additionally, the college’s students earned four academic and community awards at both the local and national levels, exceeding the targeted achievements for the year. Looking ahead, the College of Sharia and Law aims to further strengthen its standing as a leading institution in education, research, and legal-religious studies by developing its academic programs, increasing research productivity and publication quality, and expanding its community contributions. These efforts are designed to prepare distinguished graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance justice, social development, and administrative excellence in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
