President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Receives the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Vice Deans, and Department Heads, and Reviews the College’s Annual Report, Praising Its Achievements

His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Professor Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, received the Dean of the College of Dentistry, along with the college’s vice deans and department heads. During the meeting, the annual report of the college for the academic year 1446 AH was reviewed, highlighting significant achievements across academic, research, and community service domains.

His Excellency praised the college’s remarkable performance in the Saudi Dental Licensure Examination (SDLE) administered by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, noting that the average performance of the college’s graduates reached 78% compared to 69% in 2024, marking an improvement of +7%. The achievement rate for this indicator reached 97.4% of the overall 100% target.

On the research front, the college witnessed a qualitative leap that reflects its commitment to strengthening its scientific environment and supporting its academic and student body. The college successfully signed two local agreements and is currently working on three international agreements with the University of Glasgow, Newcastle University, and the University of Science, paving the way for expanded global academic and research cooperation.

In terms of investment opportunities, the college continued operating its Master’s Program in Prosthodontics, while also launching prominent development initiatives, most notably:

  • The Clinical Attachment Program, which saw significant progress and is set for further expansion next year.
  • The Research Training Program, aimed at enhancing students’ research skills.
  • The Clinical Fellowship Programs, which have advanced steps toward official launch.

The college affirmed that these initiatives are part of a comprehensive plan to elevate the professional and research competencies of its students and graduates, expand local and international partnerships, and contribute to community service, while enhancing the university’s standing in both national and international rankings.

The meeting concluded with His Excellency expressing appreciation for the college’s achievements, affirming that they reflect the collective efforts of its members and represent an important step toward realizing the university’s vision of becoming a national model aligned with global standards in education, research, innovation, and community service.
