President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Meets Distinguished Researchers and Affirms: Supporting Scientific Research is an Investment in the Nation’s Future and an Embodiment of Vision 2030
In a step that reflects Jouf University’s keenness to strengthen its scientific and research standing, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, met with a group of the university’s distinguished researchers in a special gathering that celebrated their outstanding research achievements. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamed bin Manawer Al-Shammari, the Dean of Scientific Research Dr. Waleed bin Saad Al-Husaini, along with a number of college deans and supporting deanships.


This meeting underscored the importance the university places on scientific research as one of the pillars of its strategic mission and as a fundamental foundation for building a knowledge-based economy. It also provided a platform for direct dialogue between the university’s senior leadership and researchers to discuss challenges and future opportunities, while shaping directions that drive innovation and creativity toward greater national and global impact.
Prof. Al-Shaya emphasized that supporting researchers is not limited to providing funding or laboratory facilities, but also extends to fostering a stimulating research environment that encourages teamwork, opens doors for international collaboration, and supports publishing in prestigious international outlets, in addition to adopting research projects of national priority aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.


In his address, the University President affirmed that meeting with the researchers is a celebration of their valuable contributions and a renewal of commitment to continue the path of research excellence. He noted that the achievements realized are a direct reflection of the university’s strategy, which is built on quality, innovation, and sustainable development. He further stressed that the university views its researchers as a national treasure, a true source of pride, and ambassadors of the university in the fields of science and knowledge. “With your efforts,” he said, “we will continue to advance national progress and achieve the goals of Vision 2030.”
For his part, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamed bin Manawer Al-Shammari, stated that such meetings represent an additional incentive for researchers, reflecting the university’s commitment to building an integrated research ecosystem. He highlighted the university’s aspiration to be a leader in research areas of national priority such as health, energy, environment, and digital transformation. “Supporting and empowering researchers,” he added, “ensures practical outcomes that benefit society and strengthen the university’s position in global rankings.”


In words of gratitude, the researchers emphasized that this meeting serves as a strong motivation to redouble their efforts.
