The Computer Engineering and Networks department was established in 2011. The department currently offers Bachelor in Computer Engineering and Networks.

The department mission is to prepare qualified scientific candidates in fields of computer engineering and networks through innovative education and scientific research, which develops a creative and analytical intellect to serve the society. Based on its mission, which is aligns with the university mission, the department targets the following objectives:
- Provide students with basic practical and theoretical concepts in the field of computer and networks engineering.
- Apply diverse and effective teaching methods in education.
- Ensure the practical application of knowledge acquisition and develop the skills.
- Develop students' ability to analyze, extrapolate, and solve problems based on the scientific and engineering principles.
- Focus on the scientific research, especially applied research and promoting innovation and creativity.
- Emphasize the commitment to the ethics and systems of society and professionalism in work life.
- Communicate and create productive partnerships with the community in the field of computer and network engineering.
The program’s teaching plan was reviewed during the academic year 2015-2016 by an internal university committee. The program was also one of six academic programs selected by Jouf University for self-evaluation according to the standards and requirements of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) in Saudi Arabia. The self-evaluation was completed at the end of academic year 2015-2016.
During the academic year 2017-2018, the revised teaching plan of the program was re-evaluated by the internal and external reviewers, which was approved by the council of Jouf University and Ministry of Education. Students enrolled after 2018 have been subject to the new revised plan.
Currently, the Computer Engineering and Networks Department has a robust curriculum that includes the most modern and influential topics in the computer and networks engineering, which attracts national and international students to apply for our department.
