The role of the University Guidance Department is centered on providing the necessary guidance and counseling to students and all related groups throughout their academic studies, in collaboration with the deanships and colleges, and all entities within and outside the university, including official, private, and community institutions associated with services offered to university students. The department strives to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Integrated Guidance Environment:
    Establish a comprehensive and integrated advisory environment that supports students’ academic achievement through tailored programs for high-achieving, gifted, and academically struggling students.
  2. Skill Enhancement:
    Develop students’ university skills to ensure their adaptation to the academic environment and its requirements.
  3. Talent Support:
    Provide specialized advisory services for creative and innovative students.
  4. Service Delivery:
    Offer professional services to all categories of students, monitor their academic progress regularly, and provide appropriate support through clear and defined mechanisms.
  5. Holistic Alignment:
    Promote academic, professional, and psychological alignment for students, enabling them to access appropriate support through specialized staff.
  6. Utilization of Advanced Technologies:
    Deliver services using the latest methods and technologies, including activating electronic consultation services by responding to inquiries and providing guidance through the online platform.
