Course Description:
This course helps in introducing the basics of professional courses to nursing students.
Professional courses are considered essential requirements in building the career path and
professional development for nursing students which will continue after graduation. Nursing
students will be introduced to the different specializations of nurses to help in directing their
interest in the different specialties in nursing. Moreover, the course will equip students with
basic courses nursing profession that will help them get involved early in the professional
practice. It includes basic of first aid in dealing with the different types of injuries and

This course is a study of human anatomy which develops understanding of the structure and
function of body organs and systems and their interactions. Students will identify the
relationships between the structures and functions of the human body during normal life cycle,

tissues at a gross and microscopic level. The course is complimented by laboratory exercises in

Course Description:
This is an essential course in the bachelor of nursing program. Students will learn basic concepts
and theories essential to the art and science of nursing, including physiological, psychosocial,
and spiritual health needs of individuals.
The aim is to equip students with a solid foundation on which they can build their technical and
interpersonal experience. The course utilizes the nursing process as the framework for caring,
and to apply the knowledge learned throughout this course. In addition, students will be
encouraged to work individually and in groups, communicate and collaborate effectively in a
simulated work-environment in the nursing skills lab. The course also serves as introductory to

Course Description:
The course is designed to give the student of medical sciences the complete knowledge
necessary for basic understanding of medical terminology. The rules of construction of terms
are emphasized, and analysis of complex terms is presented to give their meaning, and to define
and spell medical words correctly. This course provides students with the building blocks of
medical terminology as prefixes, suffixes, roots, combining forms, pronunciation, spelling,
plural, abbreviations and the definitions of medical terms related to different body systems
required for future clinical practice.
