1- Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department Laboratories:

Laboratory: Biochemistry (111 B)

The Biochemistry Laboratory is one of the educational and research facilities used to study biological processes. The laboratory aims to understand the chemical reactions that occur within living organisms and to investigate the role of biomolecules such as proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates in sustaining life and regulating cellular functions.

Laboratory: General Pathology and Hematology (112 B)

The General Pathology and Hematology Laboratory is an essential educational facility focusing on the study of blood components and their functions. It is designed to train students in performing fundamental laboratory tests such as complete blood counts, blood indices analysis, and blood group determination and cross-matching. The laboratory equips students with practical skills in handling and operating hematology analyzers, while also enhancing their ability to interpret laboratory findings in relation to patients’ clinical conditions. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this laboratory plays a vital role in preparing students for diagnostic and healthcare practices.

Microbiology Laboratory (113 B)

The Microbiology Laboratory is a specialized educational facility dedicated to female students, focusing on the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses. The laboratory provides a practical training environment where students acquire skills in microbial isolation, culture techniques, microscopic examination, and biochemical identification tests. It also enables students to develop competencies in microbial analysis and to understand the role of microorganisms in both health and disease. By integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, the laboratory contributes significantly to preparing students for academic, medical, and research fields in microbiology.

Laboratory: Histology and Anatomy (114 B)

The Histology and Anatomy Laboratory is a fundamental educational facility designed to train students in the study of the microscopic structure of tissues and organs, as well as the correlation between structure and function. The laboratory provides a practical learning environment where students are trained in handling histological slides, using light microscopy, and identifying normal tissues alongside pathological alterations. It also strengthens students’ understanding of essential anatomical concepts and their application in medical and biological sciences.

2- Nursing Department Laboratories:

Medical-Surgical Nursing Lab:

A laboratory designed to provide students with comprehensive training in nursing skills focused on the care of adult patients with medical conditions and those undergoing surgical interventions.

Fundamentals of Nursing Lab:

A laboratory dedicated to teaching and training students in basic nursing skills.

Critical Care Nursing Lab:

A laboratory designed to train students in advanced nursing skills for the management of critically ill and emergency patients, including life support and resuscitation techniques.

Maternity and Gynecological Nursing Laboratory:

A laboratory designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for maternal and newborn care, covering pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and neonatal car.

First Aid and Emergency Nursing Lab:

A laboratory aimed at training students in first aid and emergency response skills.

Pediatric Nursing Lab:

A laboratory designed to provide students with training in pediatric nursing, focusing on the care of children across different age groups, both healthy and ill.

3- Physical therapy labs:

Lab 115 b/1:

Is equipped with electro physical modalities including infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV), LASER, and electrical stimulation units, in addition to hand dynamometers, cervical traction devices, inclinometers, pressure bio feedback unit and goniometers. This laboratory is utilized for teaching evidence-based electrotherapy techniques, objective assessment of muscle strength and joint mobility, and clinical skill training in the management of pain and neuromusculoskeletal disorders.

Lab 115 b/2:

Contains hydrotherapy and thermotherapy facilities including whirlpools, hot and cold packs, and paraffin wax units as well as treatment mats and dolls. It is used for practical instruction in thermal agents, hydrotherapy, and soft tissue rehabilitation, providing students with hands-on experience in pain relief, tissue healing, edema control, and functional recovery strategies, and also for pediatric rehabilitation.

Lab 115 b/ 3:

Is equipped with parallel bars, tilting table, shoulder wheel, dumbbells, treadmill, stationary bike, and a leg press machine. The lab supports training in exercise therapy, gait re-education, balance and coordination activities, and strengthening programs,  This lab is designed to enhance teaching and clinical practice in exercise therapy, gait training, strength conditioning, and functional rehabilitation.
