Based on the university' vision to empower its students, support its outputs' quality, achieve excellence in qualifying students and graduates, and enable them to build strong CVs that reflect their skills and capabilities, which contributes to increasing their employment opportunities by highlighting their personal and professional skills that enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, His Excellency, the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, launched the Skills Record Project, which was launched by the University' Rectorate for Educational Affairs, which is an official document approved by the university that aims to document and monitor the non-academic personal and professional skills that students acquire during their university studies.


His Excellency, the President of the University indicated that this project comes within the framework of the university' keenness to enhance students' skills and qualify them for the labor market by documenting their participation in training courses, workshops, volunteer activities, and community initiatives, which contributes to developing their skills and refining their practical experiences.
Dr. Alaa bin Saleh Al-Arjan, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, pointed out that the Skills Record has five main areas, allowing students to document their achievements in various aspects. They are:
Training and Development:
This includes the professional certificates the students obtain from accredited entities.
Student Volunteering:
This includes accredited hours from national platforms concerned with volunteer work.


Awards, Innovations and Research:
This includes appreciation awards, innovations, patents, and published scientific researches, in addition to participation in scientific conferences.
Leadership Skills:
This includes leadership tasks in which the student participates, such as presidency or membership of student clubs, advisory councils, and volunteer committees.
Practical Experiences:
This includes all practical experiences of the student during his studies and student employment.
His Excellency also reviewed the project’ axes, strategic objectives, expected results, the mechanism for registering students in it, and how to document skills and activities.
In conclusion, His Excellency, the University President stressed the importance of the project, which is a qualitative addition and an official document to the university student career, as students can document all the achievements they make during their studies, which helps them apply for jobs and various training programs with confidence, efficiency and high competitiveness.
