Jouf University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, has launched the summer program titled “A Productive Summer... A Better Summer”, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, the university’s vice presidents, and the Dean of Student Affairs. The program will run for five weeks and targets various segments of society, including university and general education students, technical college students, as well as children and youth from the local community.
This initiative reflects the university’s vision to enhance its social role by utilizing youth energy during the summer vacation through quality programs aimed at skill development, personality building, strengthening national values and cultural identity, and providing an educational and entertaining environment aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of sports, health, culture, and sustainable development.
In his address during the launch, the University President expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the partner entities implementing the program. He emphasized that the university strives to be a leading educational and developmental environment that serves both students and the community by offering programs that extend beyond the classroom to instill initiative, active citizenship, and empower students to keep pace with national, technological, and societal transformations.


He added that this program exemplifies the integration between the university, governmental and private sectors, and civil society institutions in delivering impactful community services that improve quality of life and contribute to building a conscious knowledge-based society. He noted that this year’s edition of the program features a qualitative expansion in the number and diversity of events and strategic partnerships.
The “A Productive Summer... A Better Summer” program aims to:
- Positively utilize students’ time during the summer break.
- Enhance technological, cultural, and health awareness.
- Raise awareness about the dangers of smoking and drugs.
- Develop personal skills and abilities.
- Promote physical activity.
- Instill values of citizenship and national identity.
- Support national heritage and cultural legacy.
- Enhance intellectual awareness and combat negative behaviors.
During the launch, the Dean of Student Affairs extended his thanks and appreciation to the University President and administration for their continued support. He confirmed that this year’s program includes numerous high-quality events and activities that align with the goals of Vision 2030 and the university’s mission to support its students and serve the local community.
The summer program includes more than 20 diverse activities carried out in cooperation with several local and national partners, most notably: The Saudi University Sports Federation, Al-Jouf Health Cluster, The General Directorate of Narcotics Control, The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wirth), The Heritage Commission, Al-Jouf Municipality, Qudwa Association for Orphan Care, The Society of Culture and Arts.
The program stands out for its integrated approach across sports, training, cultural, and awareness activities, addressing the physical, intellectual, social, and psychological aspects of participants from various age groups. Key events include:
- Men’s Padel Championship: Organized in collaboration with the Saudi University Sports Federation and the Regional Talent Discovery Center to promote quality of life and social responsibility.
- World Vitiligo Day Event: A public awareness campaign in a local park featuring an art exhibition, psychological counseling booth, and educational workshops for children.
- Drug Prevention Campaign: Includes an awareness exhibition and legal, medical, and psychological lectures to highlight the dangers of drug use.
- Women’s Padel Championship: Community participation event to promote women's sports engagement.
- Professional Volunteering Workshop: Focuses on institutional volunteering within the framework of Vision 2030.
- Men’s Karate Championship: Highlights sports talent and promotes physical fitness.
- Remote Workshop on Leading Change with Grace and Awareness: Promotes public etiquette and its connection to quality of life.
- Various Sports Tournaments: Including football, volleyball, swimming, and badminton.
- Technical and Training Courses: On AI, English language, and digital marketing.
- “Wurth Summer” Program for Children: Introduces children to traditional arts.
- Summer Carnival for Orphans: Dedicated to children from the Qudwa Association.
- Performing Arts Workshop: (Saudi Ardah) to promote cultural identity.
- Urban Aesthetics Improvement Campaign: In cooperation with Al-Jouf Municipality.
- Online Digital Marketing Course
- Traditional Weaving (Sadu) Program: In collaboration with the Heritage Commission.
- Voluntary Tree-Planting Campaign: Supporting sustainability and green initiatives.
