Institutional Accreditation Committee at Jouf University reviewed progress milestones and reinforced integration and sustainability in institutional practices

As part of Jouf University’s commitment to strengthening the quality system and institutional governance, and continuing its journey toward institutional excellence in line with national and international best practices, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, chaired a meeting of the Institutional Accreditation Committee. The meeting was attended by committee members and representatives of the relevant entities to follow up on the implementation of the institutional accreditation project, assess the level of progress achieved, and discuss challenges related to the approved action plan.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the stages of progress in implementing the institutional accreditation action plan, the achievement of its interim targets, and the level of compliance with performance indicators and timelines. The Committee also examined analytical reports reflecting the maturity of institutional processes, the integration of policies and procedures, and their alignment with accreditation requirements—thereby enhancing the University’s readiness to move confidently and efficiently into the advanced phases of the project.

The meeting also included an in-depth discussion of the challenges and obstacles facing the implementation of the institutional accreditation plan, whether organizational, procedural, or operational in nature. These challenges were thoroughly analyzed, their underlying causes reviewed, and appropriate developmental solutions discussed to ensure work continuity, accelerate progress, and achieve the highest levels of quality in institutional outputs.

During the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University emphasized the importance of institutional integration and continuous coordination among all University entities directly involved in the accreditation project. He stressed that institutional accreditation is a cross-functional strategic project that requires unified efforts, integrated roles, activated internal communication channels, and cohesive institutional work to achieve its objectives efficiently and effectively.

He noted that the institutional accreditation project is one of the fundamental pillars for achieving the University’s strategic plan objectives, given its pivotal role in entrenching the principles of good governance, enhancing performance efficiency, improving process quality, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This, in turn, positively impacts the quality of education, the efficiency of scientific research, and the effectiveness of community services, while strengthening the University’s competitiveness and institutional standing.

His Excellency also underscored the necessity of embedding the principle of sustainability across all institutional work practices, emphasizing that institutional accreditation should not be viewed as a temporary goal or a one-time procedure, but rather as a sustainable operating approach and an ingrained organizational culture that ensures quality continuity, supports ongoing development, and enables the University to preserve and build upon its institutional achievements across academic and administrative domains.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University commended the significant efforts exerted by the Institutional Accreditation Committee and the working teams across the University’s various sectors. He reaffirmed his full support in overcoming challenges and continuing to work with a unified team spirit to fulfill institutional accreditation requirements in accordance with the highest standards—aligned with the aspirations of the wise leadership, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and reinforcing stakeholders’ confidence in the University’s outcomes and institutional performance.
