President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Inaugurates “Momaken” Platform to Empower Students with Disabilities in conjunction with the University’s Celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Under the patronage of the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, the University inaugurated today the “Momaken” Platform, a specialized digital system designed to empower students with disabilities and enhance their academic and educational experience. This milestone reflects the University’s deep commitment to applying national inclusion standards, promoting equal opportunities, and aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build an inclusive, empowered, and thriving society.

The platform comes as an extension of the University’s ongoing efforts to provide a supportive, accessible, and inclusive educational environment that enables students with disabilities to access services with ease, ensures their full participation in university life, and offers them an integrated system of academic, advisory, technical, psychological, and social services.

In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Al-Shaya emphasized that “Momaken” is not merely an electronic portal, but rather a comprehensive empowerment ecosystem that embodies the University’s vision and its human-centered educational mission. He stated:

“Launching the ‘Momken’ Platform represents Jouf University’s unwavering commitment to providing an inclusive educational environment that guarantees equal opportunities for all its students. It also allows our students with disabilities to access academic and support services that enhance their participation and excellence. We take pride in the fact that this initiative aligns with the aspirations of our beloved nation and Vision 2030, which calls for a fully inclusive society that empowers all its members, protects their rights, and positions education as a driver of development and prosperity.”

He added that the University will continue to develop innovative initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and provide advanced technical solutions and specialized services that contribute to enhancing the quality of university life and ensuring a fair and comprehensive learning experience for every student.

 

Objectives of the Initiative:

  • Providing an accessible and supportive environment for students with disabilities within the University.
  • Enhancing integration between colleges, supporting deanships, and administrative units to improve services offered to students with disabilities.
  • Offering advisory and training services to students and their families.
  • Designing and implementing programs and activities that develop skills and promote integration into the university and local community.
