It is my pleasure to welcome you, both personally and on behalf of the staff of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
This department is guided by an ambitious vision striving for leadership and excellence, contributing to the building of a knowledge-based society by preparing conscious educational leaders capable of understanding the realities and developments in education and actively participating in the development of its institutions.
The department also aims to develop distinguished personnel, both academically and professionally, in the fields of educational leadership and policy, and scientific research, within a supportive and stimulating academic environment that fosters analytical thinking, supports knowledge-based decision-making, and bridges theory and practice. Developing educational leadership and policies is a fundamental pillar for enhancing institutional performance in educational institutions and achieving integration among their roles and functions. This strengthens leadership practices, supports sustainable development paths, and keeps pace with the transformations taking place in education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The department is committed to academic openness, the exchange of expertise, and building collaborative relationships with relevant entities. This aims to develop applied knowledge in its field, address educational issues within the community, and serve the beneficiaries of its institutions. The department places students at all academic levels at the heart of its concerns, considering them the core and ultimate goal of the educational process. This is achieved through promising courses in university life skills and volunteer work, in addition to offering a Master of Education program in Educational Leadership.
The department also provides supporting courses within other departments' programs at the college to equip students with leadership competencies, research skills, and professional values. Furthermore, the department continues to strive to develop programs that align with its vision, mission, and objectives, in accordance with the university's strategic plan and within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
