Excellence Award Tracks for Academic Programs’ Readiness Test Results

Healthcare Specialties Track


This track is concerned with recognizing healthcare academic programs whose students achieve outstanding results in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) examinations. This reflects the quality of academic and professional preparation and the alignment of program outcomes with the requirements of healthcare practice and professional accreditation


Award Criteria – Healthcare Specialties Track

The award in this track shall be granted to the healthcare program that achieves the highest performance in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties examinations, in accordance with the following mechanism:

  1. The average scores of the program’s graduates in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties examination during the award year shall be considered.

  2. The number of examinees from the program must be sufficiently representative to ensure fair assessment.

  3. The award shall be granted to the program that achieves the highest average performance compared to other healthcare programs within the university.

  4. The program must rank among the top ten universities at the national level

Excellence in Specialized Readiness Test Results

This track aims to recognize engineering and scientific academic programs that achieve the highest average performance in specialized readiness tests issued by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC). This reflects the effectiveness of academic study plans and the level of graduate readiness in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Award Mechanism – Readiness Tests Track (Education and Training Evaluation Commission – ETEC)

The award in this track shall be granted to the academic program that achieves the best performance in the approved specialized readiness test, in accordance with the following mechanism:

  1. The average score of the program’s students in the readiness test, as stated in the official performance report issued by ETEC, shall be adopted.

  2. Data from one approved year shall be used for the award, as determined by the organizing body.

  3. The number of examinees must be fairly representative of the program, as indicated in the performance report and in comparison with the number of graduates in the department.

  4. The award shall be granted to the program that achieves the highest average score compared to other programs included in the readiness tests within the university,
    provided that the overall result is above the national average when compared with universities across the Kingdom.

  5. Consideration may be given to value-added indicators in cases where the average score is not sufficiently representative and cannot solely determine the results.
