Overview
The program is offered at the College of Education in the main campus for male students - and in the female campus in Al-Laqiat. The study system in the program (courses and a research project), with a total of 45 credit hours. The Master of Education in Educational Leadership program contributes to preparing distinguished educational leaders at the local and regional levels. In addition, qualifying specialized cadres in the field of educational leadership, enriching educational research, and providing advisory support for the development of the local community. The program aims to qualify distinguished specialists in the field of educational leadership and develop the science of educational leadership by enriching scientific research; and preparing distinguished researchers in the field of educational leadership. In addition, providing advisory services in the field of educational leadership to meet the needs of the local community.

Course Description:
This course aims to provide the student with knowledge of the philosophical and social sources from which educational ideas and opinions originated, and to clarify how education is linked to the philosophical and social aspects of life. It also examines the most prominent social theories and philosophical ideas that played an effective role in shaping what is known of the prevailing opinions, values and ideas about education and what is related to it in terms of goals, methods and systems, throughout history and to the present era, in addition to taking care to define a framework for education according to the cultural influences of Islamic society in order to provide the student with the skills of philosophical criticism and training to see educational issues and problems from the perspective of Islam’s view of the individual, the universe, society, knowledge, ethics, values, authority, freedom and social change.

Course Description:
The course provides a set of tasks that will help the student produce a research plan that will serve as a roadmap for his research project, so that he discusses with his professor and colleagues each step of the plan and explains the construction steps, and presents his production to his colleagues with the supervision of his professor. Finally, he presents a research plan that will be the nucleus and general framework for his research project, and the student proceeds with his professor step by step, first defining his topic, then proceeding to build it, starting with the introduction to the study, then the problem, then the objectives, terms, and the methodology followed. The professor follows up with the student through what he wrote in each of the previous steps.

This course enables students to apply the knowledge, skills and values they have acquired in the field of research in educational leadership, and to shed light on contemporary research issues and address them in a purposeful and careful manner in writing and linguistic formulation of ideas and information, and to analyze and interpret the results. The topic of the research project and its procedures are determined with the course professor in coordination with the department.
