College Boosts Its Health Sustainability Efforts in Al‑Jouf
As part of Al-Jouf University’s active participation in the Scientific Research Forum and Its Role in Sustainability in the Al-Jouf Region, organized by the university in collaboration with the Prince Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Chair for Development, the College of Dentistry made a distinguished contribution that reflected its leading position and influential role in supporting research pathways related to oral and dental health, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
During his participation in the forum, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Dentistry at Al-Jouf University, Dr. Hamoud bin Ali Al-Qarni, highlighted the role and importance of educational clinics in promoting sustainability by presenting key scientific research that shed light on the burden of dental caries and its associated health risks in the Al-Jouf region. He emphasized the importance of adopting preventive strategies based on early risk assessment for dental caries, as well as strengthening oral and dental health practices among community members.
Dr. Al-Qarni further noted that implementing the latest evidence-based scientific protocols focused on supporting health sustainability through a shift from reliance on traditional treatment approaches to prevention-based methodologies, continuous risk assessment, and individualized disease management—represents a pivotal step toward reducing disease prevalence, lowering long-term health burdens and costs, and contributing to an improved quality of life.
These efforts align with Al-Jouf University’s strategic direction to enhance the role of scientific research in serving the community and to support high-impact initiatives that contribute to building a sustainable healthcare model, in line with the aspirations of Vision 2030, while advancing health awareness and the quality of healthcare services provided to residents of the Al-Jouf region.
