Students Successfully Finished Master's Thesis Defenses with Diverse Research Benefiting the Community and Health Sector

The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Al Jouf University has concluded a number of Master's thesis discussions for students in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program. The students presented scientific research addressing vital health topics, reflecting the advanced level of the program and the efforts of the students and supervising professors.

The College extended its warmest congratulations to the students on this scientific achievement, wishing them continued success, guidance, and further progress and excellence in their careers.

The list of students who successfully defended their theses included the following:

  • Student/ Alanoud bint Ayed Alanazi, supervised by Dr. Abdullah bin Faleh Alsarhani, for a thesis titled: "The Role of Factor V Leiden Mutation in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss and Common Pregnancy Complications in the Aljouf Region of Saudi Arabia".
  • Student/ Israa bint Tarish Alshammari, supervised by Dr. Yasser bin Saud Alruwaili, for a thesis titled: "Incidence, Microbiological Profile, and Risk Factors of Healthcare-Associated Infections Among ICU Patients: A Retrospective Study in Aljouf, Saudi Arabia".
  • Student/ Fahad bin Saleh Alanazi, supervised by Dr. Albadawi Abdalbaki Talha, for a thesis titled: "Frequency and risk factors of Multi-Drug-Resistant Bacteria Isolated from catheter-associated UTIs in the ICU, King Khalid General Hospital, Hafar Al-Batin (2022-2023)".
  • Student/ Gharam bint Yousef Alruwaili, supervised by Dr. Abualgasim Aljaili Abdullah, for a thesis titled: "Phenotypic and Molecular Characterization of Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii Isolated from Hospitalized Patients in Sakaka City".
  • Student/ Rawan bint Mohammed Alruwaili, supervised by Dr. Abuzar Yousif Eldirdiri, for a thesis titled: "Causes Of Vitamin B12 Deficiency Among People From The Aljouf Region Of Saudi Arabia".
  • Student/ Mohammed bin Oglaa Albrahim, supervised by Dr. Hasan Ejaz, for a thesis titled: "Antibiotic Resistance Trends in Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae in Tertiary Healthcare Settings".
  • Student/ Hanan bint Qasim Alruwaili, supervised by Dr. Heba Bassiouni Ghanem, for a thesis titled: "Hemochromatosis Prevalence, Risk Factors And Related Comorbidities Among Hospitalized Patients In Al-Jouf Region, Saudi Arabia".
  • Student/ Hassan bin Ayed Alanazi, supervised by Dr. Abuzar Yousif Eldirdiri, for a thesis titled: "Causes of Thrombocytopenia Among Patients in Arar City, Saudi Arabia: A Retrospective Study".

These achievements reflect the commitment of Al Jouf University, represented by the College of Applied Medical Sciences, to supporting scientific research and graduating qualified cadres who contribute to the development of the health sector and serve the community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
