The Alumni Unit at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Jouf University, serves as a cornerstone for supporting the college's graduates in their professional journeys. The unit aims to strengthen the connection between the college and its alumni by organizing events and workshops to develop skills, in addition to providing opportunities for continuous learning and specialized courses. It also holds annual meetings to offer employment opportunities and facilitate communication with various sectors in pharmacy, such as pharmaceutical companies, community pharmacies, and others, to provide job opportunities.

Furthermore, the unit seeks to establish support exchange programs among alumni and organize ceremonies to honor outstanding graduates, thereby enhancing their sense of belonging to the college. It also aims to enhance the competency of recent graduates through training courses that assist them in aligning their career paths with labor market demands. Ultimately, the unit aspires to produce qualified pharmacists while fostering continuous engagement with alumni to serve the community.

Tasks and Responsibilities Alumni Unit:

  1. Enhancing Communication with Alumni: Establishing sustainable relationships between the college and its graduates, fostering a sense of belonging through organizing events, honoring distinguished alumni, and involving successful graduates as speakers to share experiences.
  2. Preparing Graduates for the Job Market: Providing specialized training programs and organizing workshops in collaboration with employers to guide students towards appropriate career paths.
  3. Building an Updated Database: Creating a comprehensive database of alumni, including employment and career progression details, and continuously updating it to support decision-making.
  4. Coordinating with the Job Market: Strengthening collaboration with professional sectors to provide training and employment opportunities for graduates and surveying market needs to ensure that educational outcomes align with those needs.
  5. Tracking Alumni and Performance Evaluation: Monitoring recent graduates to identify their employment status and assess their benefit from academic programs, and preparing periodic reports to evaluate their performance for submission to academic departments.
  6. Professional Development and Lifelong Learning: Offering continuing education opportunities and specialized development courses for graduates to enhance their professional skills and support their competitiveness in the job market.
