  • Admission Process:
    The Deanship of Admission and Registration is responsible for the admission process. Applications are submitted online, and admission criteria are determined by the Deanship annually.
  • General Admission Requirements:
    • The applicant must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, either from within the Kingdom or abroad.

    • The high school diploma must not be older than five years (exceptions can be made by the University President).

    • The applicant must be of good conduct and medically fit.

    • The applicant must successfully pass any required test or interview determined by the University Council.

    • Approval from the employer is required if the applicant works in a governmental or private organization.

    • Fulfill any additional requirements set by the University Council and announced during the application process.

    • The applicant must not have been expelled from Jouf University or any other university for disciplinary or academic reasons.

    • Holders of a bachelor's degree cannot enroll for another bachelor's degree unless an exception is granted by the University President.

    • Students enrolled in another university program cannot be accepted for simultaneous enrollment at Jouf University.

  • Study System:
    • Based on the regular attendance system.
    • The academic year consists of two semesters, with an additional summer semester if applicable.
  • Academic Semesters:
    • Regular Semester: Lasts no less than 18 weeks, including registration and final examinations.
    • Summer Semester: Lasts no more than 10 weeks, excluding registration and examinations, with instructional time for each course doubled.
  • Study Levels:
    • Represents the academic progression stage.
    • A minimum of 8 levels is required for graduation, depending on the approved study plan.
  • Course Requirements:
    • Each course is assigned a specific level within the study plan.
    • Courses include a unique code, name, and detailed description, and some courses may have prerequisites or co-requisites.
  • Credit Units:
    • One weekly theoretical lecture lasting at least 50 minutes.
    • One weekly practical session lasting at least 100 minutes.
  • To obtain a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, the student must complete 137 credit hours successfully.
  • The degree is expected to be completed within four years.
