President of Jouf University Reviews the “University Entrepreneurship” Project and Emphasizes the Importance of Developing Quality Programs and Expanding Admission in Line with Labor Market Needs
His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, reviewed the progress of the “University Entrepreneurship” Project during a meeting dedicated to following up on its latest developments, discussing its executive tracks, and reviewing the proposed initiatives and programs the University is working on as part of its efforts to develop its academic system, enhance its ability to keep pace with labor market needs, and improve the efficiency of its educational outcomes.
During the meeting, His Excellency affirmed that the “University Entrepreneurship” Project represents an important path toward advancing the University’s academic programs and enhancing their alignment with national development priorities and labor market requirements. The meeting discussed a number of project-related files, most notably studying opportunities to introduce new academic programs, develop existing programs, increase admission capacity in high-demand disciplines, and expand applied, professional, and quality diploma programs that are directly linked to the needs of developmental and economic sectors in the region and the Kingdom.
His Excellency stressed the importance of ensuring that expansion in programs and admission is based on accurate studies of labor market needs, analysis of skills gaps, and anticipation of future jobs, while maintaining the quality of outcomes, the efficiency of study plans, and the integration of theoretical and practical aspects. This will help ensure the graduation of qualified national cadres capable of contributing effectively to development.
