Students English Name Update for those who are Expected to Graduate in the First Semester of the 1446 AH Academic Year

The Deanship of Admissions and Registration is pleased to announce the opening of the English name update service for students expected to graduate in the first semester of the academic year 1446 AH (Bachelor’s and Diploma degrees). Students can access the service by logging into the university's online portal, selecting "Personal," and then choosing "Update English Name," followed by completing the remaining steps.

Dr. Ahmed Alsayat, Dean of Admissions and Registration, has emphasized the importance of students expected to graduate to access their accounts through the portal to update their English names. This will help avoid delays in printing graduation documents and academic records, as well as issues that may arise post-graduation, such as admission to post-graduate studies or external scholarships. The name must match the name on the student’s passport. Please follow the guidelines and notes below:

  • Enter the name in capital letters only.
  • Write the first name, father’s name, the first letter of the grandfather’s name, and the full family name.
  • Example: OMAR SAUD M ALSHAMMARI
  • Do not include spaces, dashes, or any other symbols in the family name.
  • Ensure the name matches the passport or national ID exactly.
  • Note: Students who receive their graduation document before updating their
  • English names will need to wait for two weeks after receiving the document to make the update.
  • The name will not be reflected in the portal until reviewed and approved by the Deanship.
  • Students are in full legal responsibility for entering incorrect names or failing to update them before graduation to be printed in the graduation document and academic record.

The deadline for updating names is Saturday, 4/7/1446 AH, corresponding to
January 4, 2025.
