Course Description
Course outline: Restorative 2 is a didactic course which is proposed to expose the students to the modalities of the preparation & construction of the various restorations including operative dentistry, endodontics, fixed & removable prosthodontic restorations. The presented course will introduce the student to the didactic background of the restorative treatment for dental patients; The management of these patients will be presented to the student. The course will stress on how the way of handling of the patient is very important for the clinical success of dental restorations. Course Outcomes: By the end of this course, student should be able to: 1. Be familiar with the application of different materials necessary for the use of various restorations. 2. Understand the modalities for preparation & construction of various restorations including operative dentistry, fixed & removable prosthodontics 3. Understand of the principles, concepts, and techniques employed in fixed prosthodontics. Educational Methods: 1. PBL sessions. 2. Lectures Assessment of Students: 1. Continuous assessment. 2.
