Course Description
Production drawings, also known as working or construction drawings, are graphic representations that communicate how to construct, remodel, or install a project. These drawings also include related information, such as room designations, door, window, and fixture locations; dimensions; materials; and other details. Construction drawings involve considerable time and attention to detail. They are done by the design firm and submitted to the project contractors to implement and build the project correctly, easily, and clearly. The first in a sequence of two, this course will help the students to prepare complete production drawings for interior design projects using CAD software. The course teaches the students how to finalize complete drawings for an interior design and architecture project at any levels and covers new technology and contemporary materials. This course will cover the architectural production drawings. These include the floor plan, sections, elevations, mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing plans, and any related schedules and specifications
