Course Description
This course aims to provide the student with knowledge of the philosophical and social sources from which educational ideas and opinions originated, and to clarify how education is linked to the philosophical and social aspects of life. It also examines the most prominent social theories and philosophical ideas that played an effective role in shaping what is known of the prevailing opinions, values ​​and ideas about education and what is related to it in terms of goals, methods and systems, throughout history and to the present era, in addition to taking care to define a framework for education according to the cultural influences of Islamic society in order to provide the student with the skills of philosophical criticism and training to see educational issues and problems from the perspective of Islam’s view of the individual, the universe, society, knowledge, ethics, values, authority, freedom and social change.
