Message from the Head of the Department
The Department of Chemistry at Al-Jouf University is considered an essential part of the educational and research journey in the Kingdom, as it has graduated a generation of outstanding students, both academically and scientifically.

Praise be to Allah, who taught by the pen, taught humankind what they did not know. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, who was sent as a mercy to all worlds. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his noble companions, as many times as the pens have written.
It gives me great pleasure, on my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues, the members of the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, to extend to you our warmest welcome to Jouf University. Our university is considered one of the landmarks of national development in the northern region of the Kingdom, and we take pride in representing a leading department in the fields of education and scientific research.
The Department of Chemistry at Jouf University is an essential part of the journey of education and research in the Kingdom, having graduated generations of distinguished male and female students academically and scientifically across various educational stages. The department continues to fulfill its educational mission with high efficiency, distinguished by a specialized, experienced, and highly competent faculty, in addition to the availability of modern educational and research facilities that contribute to enhancing academic programs.
The department’s objectives aim at graduating outstanding cadres who meet the needs of the labor market in various academic, industrial, and research sectors. We take pride in the prominent male and female researchers among the department’s members who have received high recognition at both local and international levels.
The Department of Chemistry at Jouf University constantly strives for excellence, as reflected in the 2023 global subject rankings, where the department achieved a global ranking of (601–630) and ranked sixth locally. This achievement reflects the excellence and efforts exerted by the department’s members.
The Department of Chemistry possesses advanced laboratories equipped with the latest scientific and research instruments, enabling researchers to conduct advanced and innovative research. This contributes significantly to strengthening scientific research in the field of chemistry.
In addition, the Department of Chemistry seeks to serve the local community through educational programs, environmental development initiatives, and partnerships with chemistry-related industries, thereby contributing to the development and growth of our beloved Kingdom.
From this standpoint, we work diligently and continuously to develop the department in academic, research, community service, and environmental development fields. We aspire to achieve further excellence by benefiting from the advanced technologies available to us.
