This course is designed to provide an understanding of the need, importance, principles, of medical devices Sterilization. It covers all the information about skills and knowledge necessary for medical instruments sterilization. To perform appropriately the procedure for disinfection or decontamination of medical instruments and surgical devices and also to confirm that they do not transmit disease causing pathogens to the human community. The overall goal of the course is to study the Medical and Surgical Instruments, their handling, collection, transport, decontamination methods, procedures, infection control and to ensure safety measures in the hospital.
