This course introduces new nursing students to the main themes in nursing profession. It includes the discussion about the development of the profession, and nursing role at the healthcare settings. It will also introduce the basic foundations nursing science and nursing care theories. Professional values, ethics and approach to care of individuals, families and communities will be also addressed within the course
