Course Description
This studio is an evidence-based design studio that focuses on the challenge of designing sustainable interiors for a Multi-functional, multi-spatial large-scale health care building. It develops an understanding of theories, strategies, and application of Passive design strategies that impact interior environmental efficiency and reach the bioclimatic comfort zone in internal spaces. Studying the surrounding natural environment achieves the best eco-friendly and sustainable design. The studio will focus on ways of integrating day lighting, solar, renewable energy and natural ventilation with other interior design considerations. The studio will demonstrate progressive understanding of the elements of interior space, which are capable of creating habitable, functional, and aesthetical and psychologically satisfying interiors.
