His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Al-Jouf Region, received in his office at the Emirate headquarters the President of Jouf University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, who presented to His Royal Highness the university’s comprehensive statistical report for the academic year 1446 AH. This meeting reflects the university’s commitment to institutional communication and presenting a comprehensive overview of its educational, research, and societal progress.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his continuous support of Jouf University, his constant follow-up, and his encouragement of excellence and creativity among the university’s staff. He presented the report, which highlighted key indicators and statistics reflecting the university’s achievements during the academic year 1446 AH across academic, research, and developmental domains.

The report detailed the number of enrolled students across various academic programs, as well as the number of graduates, categorized by college and discipline. This reflects the university’s growing capacity and its efforts to develop academic programs that align with the needs of the local and national labor markets.

It also noted that most of the university’s academic programs have received national and international accreditations, affirming the quality of educational outcomes and their alignment with global standards. These accomplishments underline the university's ongoing efforts to improve academic performance and ensure institutional and programmatic quality and accreditation.

The report further shed light on the remarkable achievements in scientific research, noting a significant increase in the number of research papers published in journals indexed in global databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. It also emphasized the support for research projects addressing local development and regional challenges in areas such as energy, water, agriculture, and health. Additionally, the report highlighted the university’s improved standing in prestigious global rankings, such as QS and US News, as a result of its development of the academic and research environment and its institutional efficiency.

The university also recorded several patents this year in various fields, thanks to its support for innovation, entrepreneurship, and applied research—reinforcing its role as a scientific hub for local and global knowledge production.

The report also showcased the remarkable achievements of the university’s students in international competitions, including gold and silver medals at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions and the iCAN Global Invention and Innovation Competition. Students also secured top positions in Saudi university sports competitions, reflecting the strong training and empowerment provided by the university.
