Topics include fainting, trauma, cerebral shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, epilepsy, chest pain, acute abdominal pain, renal colic, septicemia, asthma, laryngitis, food poisoning, and intestinal obstruction. While these topics vary in theoretical and practical importance for general practitioners, it is crucial that physicians are prepared to perform initial life-saving and pain-relieving interventions.
