    In this course the students will learn the fundamentals of workplace occupational health and safety. The student will learn safe work practices in industry, offices and construction as well as how to identify and prevent or correct problems associated with occupational safety and health in the home as well as in these locations. The course is designed to assist the student with the implementation of safe healthy practices at work and at home. Course topics include Adverse effects of occupational hazards: physical, chemical, and biological. Occupational Health engineering; the measurement of chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace. Accident analysis and prevention. Industrial ventilation. Ergonomics. Protective clothing Well person screening. This course is an amalgamation of important factors viz. of the Fundamental Principles of Occupational Health and Safety, Health and Safety at work, Electrical Safety & Fire Alarms.
